What really causes results

Posted on: February 17th, 2025 in Mindset by Mesiti | 3 Comments

Recently, I decided to lose some weight.

But that meant putting in some effort.

So what do you do when you want a specific result in your life that requires effort on your part?

This is what I reveal in today’s motivational video: to get a result you first need to fall in love with something.

Thank you Pat. Since I’ve been mentored by you I have more and more desire to succeed and have noticed a change. I am actially doing things, not just thinking about them – dreaming. Day be day that thing called effort has been creeping into my mindset
I’ve still got a long way to go but now when i want something I am trying. It feels great.

    Research / plan/mindset change
I set up a cafe , from Birth -Death (13yrs).
Found a site (negotiated free rent for 6mths).
Developed a menu . Researched top cafes Meb/Sydney. Flew in and tested the food/menu eg Bondi . Found very similar flavours wise.
Tweaked the menu’s and developed my own sauce .(3 mth duration).
Whilst in Melbourne I sourced the best coffee. Being mindful that our water was different to that of Melbourne. Changed the flavour.
    Designed / set up shop.
Employed a chef to help set up kitchen based on my menu .
The name went up and I opened the doors. I went outside to watch as very nervous on local response .
It was a hit and lasted -13yrs.
My objective was to sell 6-12 months in, get top dollar. and find another site and do the same ..

I used the same ethos to loose 30kg in 9 mths. With the help of a friend who is a functional practitioner 🙏
    Thank you Pat.
I am trying to follow but having issues with zoom ..
    Cheers

    Tell me about it !
Following 6 hrs of surgery to remove bladder cancer I now have to stay @ home for 6 weeks .. no driving, just resting, alone (no family) before another Cystoscopy & possibly chemo.
    Physically I’m doing excellently.
    Mentally ? .. Ah there’s the rub ..
Teaching myself to fall in love with cabin fever, incontinence, weakness, pain, drugs, loneliness, grief, when I’m used to being happily over-occupied, is something I’ve never experienced in all my 75 years !!.
    However ..
.. unless I do fall in love, I will not return to my beautiful life full of coaching, working with gifted children, singing .. joining your course .. working in London .. it just won’t happen .. worst case the cancer will return & I could loose my bladder completely .. one hell of a job .. but ..
.. one step at a time, keeping scribbled records each day, of my achievements & it’s happening !
    🙂
Today I cooked a piece of salmon for myself .. haven’t been able to cook since 20th Jan & salmon’s a favourite .. hey! I did it .. tomorrow I will walk outside for a few metres .. and climb the stairs 4 times .. small but boy how these small steps are putting me in love !!
