stop-signHabits can be hard to break. But some of your bad habits are holding you back. If you want to be successful, you need to get rid of these bad habits.

Here are 6 key things to Stop doing if you want to be successful…

#1. Stop Quitting

Every time life gets hard, you quit. Life is not easy. Success will not come easy. You need to learn that lesson now, and remember that you cannot quit at every hurdle. You must persevere and work through the hard times because you will end up reaching success if you keep going.

#2. Stop Procrastinating

If you keep saying tomorrow, you will never get anything done. Don’t delay your success because you cannot get started with the first step. Yes, it will be hard, but you cannot put it off as it won’t get any easier if you do that. It will still be hard tomorrow. You need to break things down into smaller steps so they seem manageable AND you need to take that first step!

#3. Stop being a Victim

Stop saying you don’t have a choice. Or that you’re stuck. You’re not a victim. You can make a change. You can be successful if you put your mind to it. The only thing holding you back is yourself. You make decisions every day that end up holding you back. You need to start making ones that help you in life, that get you to a better place, that help you reach your dream goal. No one else is responsible for the decisions you make other than yourself.

#4. Stop saying Yes

You have a limited amount of time. Don’t waste it on the wrong things. Learn to say no to people who will waste your time. Learn to say no to social events that are not important. Learn to say no to TV shows that teach you nothing. Stop saying yes to everything that comes your way, and you will free up more time than you can imagine.

#5. Stop Expecting

Stop thinking that people can read your mind. No one can do that. No one knows what you want in life unless you tell them. No one knows you want something from them unless you specifically say it. Stop expecting, start voicing your concerns or issues, and you will see that things start happening much faster for you. That promotion you want? If you’re expecting someone to realize you’re right for the job, you’re wasting your time. Tell them why you’re right for it and they might agree.

#6. Stop Avoiding

There are things we don’t want to do – everyone has a list of stuff they hate. Doesn’t mean you can avoid them. Not everything will be fun, or something you are passionate about. Sometimes you will have to do things that you hate. Suck it up. Don’t avoid those things as you are only causing major issues for yourself down the road.
